Incubation

Pregnancy does strange things to your bod. Beyond the whole 'creating a new person' thing. Let's talk about it.

Being pregnant in the winter sucks every last bit of moisture from my skin. And there isn't much there to begin with. When I was pregnant with Milo, I begged my DH to put lotion on my back. He obliged, but begrudgingly. I've since graduated to more sophisticated products.

One thing I use to keep my skin flake free for half a day or so is King of Skin Body Butter from Lush. I've used this for ages, but didn't know about it with Milo. Its basically lotion you apply in the shower. If you have dry skin, you need this in your life. I literally sell one of these every single time I demo it. Its astounding. Soothing, moisturizing, and it lasts awhile. Waste and preservative free-it is in my top ten of beauty products of all time.
I bought a new fresh one specifically to bring to Canada, because I have no idea how my skin will react to traveling and dry hotel air.

Another thing I smear on myself is Erba Organics Belly Oil.
While nothing will prevent stretch marks (no matter what those punks on the Palmer's Cocoa Butter commercials tell you), this helps to ease the flakiness of my frontal area. PLus it smells great. I found this at TJ Maxx, if you can believe it.

I had nightmares last night about getting stretch marks on giant thighs and forgetting my passport. My departure is in two days. My carry-on is packed, my passport is ready, and today I am running final errands to comply with the 3-1-1 rule and to change money.
I will not be posting anything until I return. I'm too boring to schedule posts and may not have 24-7 access to a computer while I am gone.
I will, however be taking a bazillion photos and be exploring Toronto in my free time.
Ta ta for now, my loves.
