I Leave You and 2010 With This:

When we come into contact with the other person, our thoughts and actions should express our mind of compassion, even if that person says and does things that are not easy to accept. We practice in this way until we see clearly that our love is not contingent upon the other person being lovable.

-Thich Nhat Hanh (with thanks to Mandy Closs Dalrymple)

  1. Any thoughts on dealing with one's enemies? Compassion isn't working.

  2. I'd recommend asking why they are considered your enemy in the first place?
Compassion is something hard to come by in this world, and can do many great things. Especially when the compassion is undeserved and unexpected.
You could always throw poopy diapers at them...thats an option...
